Tenuta di Sesta, Brunello di Montalcino 2018

Tenuta di Sesta is one of the most celebrated wineries in Tuscany. Founded in 1850, it is still in the same family to this day. Most well-known for their imperious Brunello di Montalcino, the Ciacci family behind Tenuta di Sesta produce wine with a full respect for their land. They are able to express the intensity, elegance and determined character of the area, together with its oldest traditions, and make some truly phenomenal wine in the process. Brunello di Montalcino 2018 is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso from a selection of the best grapes of the estate's vineyards, matured in 20-30 hl Slavonian oak barrels for 30 months with subsequent ageing of minimum six months in the bottle. Floral, elegant, with rich scents of mellow red fruits, and notes of liquorice and tobacco. The palate is dry, warm, with soft velvety tannins, balanced, very intense, very persistent and elegant.
